All while understanding that *together* we are even better.*Schedule:* Full Time, Per Diem, and Part Time options available*Shift* : Days and Nights available*Location:* Avon Park/Lakeland*The community youll be caring for:** From state- of- the- art equipment to the most intricate building details, AdventHealth Wesley Chapel was designed from the ground up to maximize healing, patient care and wellness* Recognized as leader in patient satisfaction and was named Top 100 Hospital in Modern Healthcare Magazine by IBM Watson Health* 50,000 sq ft community Health & Wellness Center* Comprehensive womens health center named Inspiration Place that incorporates female physician specialists, womens imaging, pelvic floor and female physical therapy and a boutique spa.* Consistently named a Top Workplace in Tampa Bay by the Tampa Bay Times*The role youll contribute:*Provides patients with support treatment, care, and evaluations prior to and during transportation.*The value youll bring to the team:** Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes patients during transport, under the direction of the medical director and protocols* Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments, as appropriate* Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions* Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public* Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and appropriately secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport* Operates emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions in accordance to established safety standards. Effectively communicates delays and updates to dispatch. Immediately reports any damage or vehicle issues to the supervisor* Responsible for maintaining equipment between transports. Maintains the unit in a constant state of readiness*Qualifications**The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:** FL State Paramedic license* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification* Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification* Valid Class E State Drivers License, or Commercial Drivers License (CDL), and driving record in accordance with facility policy* Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC), or Emergency Vehicle Operator Safety.
