Job Description Job Description Mancan is looking for a maintenance tech for a local hotel in Ft. Myers. This position is full time and pays $15-$18 an hour depending on experience. The hotel maintenance technician performs routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on the hotel's building, grounds, and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and responds to guest requests for repairs. Duties also include general upkeep, maintaining inventory, ensuring safety compliance, and potentially groundskeeping and assisting with event setups. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and servicing of equipment and building systems to prevent breakdowns. Repairs: Address issues with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliances (like TVs and refrigerators), walls, floors, and furniture to ensure proper functionality. Building & Grounds Upkeep: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the hotel's interior and exterior, including grounds, parking areas, and common spaces. Guest Service: Promptly and courteously respond to guest requests and repair needs reported in rooms. Technical Support: Inspect and maintain fire safety systems, elevators, and other critical infrastructure to ensure guest and employee safety. Specific Tasks Performing minor adjustments and repairs to guest room furniture and fixtures. Replacing light bulbs, changing filters, and performing other tasks on cooling and heating equipment. Conducting small repairs and repainting walls to maintain aesthetics. Assisting with the setup and cleanup of meeting rooms for events. Maintaining an accurate inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment. Working with contractors for specialized repairs and installations. Skills and Qualifications Ability to diagnose and resolve various technical issues efficiently. Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy items, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces. Professional communication skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and contractors. A commitment to following safety protocols to maintain a safe facility and prevent accidents.
