(COTA) license, and 1 years Certified Occupational Therapy
Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This position offers an
exciting opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
(COTA) to support K-12 students across a diverse school district in
North Fort Myers, FL. Ideal candidates will have experience in
school-based therapy and be ready to serve students across an
entire county, providing crucial occupational therapy services that
help students thrive academically and socially. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12
students in various school settings throughout the county.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and therapists to develop and
implement individualized therapy plans. Conduct assessments and
monitor student progress to adjust therapy goals effectively.
Travel within the entire county to provide consistent support at
multiple school sites. Stay updated with district changes during
the summer to prepare for the upcoming school year. Qualifications
and Desired Experience: Valid COTA license with current
certification. Experience working in school settings with children
from kindergarten through 12th grade. Flexibility and comfort with
traveling across a large geographic area to meet students needs.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for successful
interdisciplinary teamwork. Commitment to student-centered care and
educational support. Location: North Fort Myers, FL, with travel
required throughout the entire county. This contract position is
