(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A full-time on-site Sign Language Interpreter
opportunity is available in Lehigh Acres, FL, beginning immediately
through June 1, 2026. This position supports hard of hearing
elementary students within a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)
program, providing direct 1:1 interpretation services. The role
requires working up to 37.5 hours per week at a single elementary
school location. Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate, clear, and
accessible sign language interpretation to hard of hearing students
in a classroom setting Facilitate communication between students,
teachers, and staff to support educational engagement and inclusion
Employ techniques that accommodate students individual language and
learning needs in the DHH program Maintain professional
confidentiality and adhere to school district guidelines and
policies Qualifications and Requirements: EIPA (Educational
Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.0 or higher Previous
experience working with hard of hearing students preferred Valid
fingerprint clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse or willingness
to complete required fingerprint process Ability to obtain and/or
transfer a JLA badge for school access in Florida Strong
interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to working
on-site for the duration of the contract with no remote options
available Location: On-site assignment at an elementary school in
Lehigh Acres, FL This assignment offers the chance to make a
