Job Description:
Lee Health is excited to offer the position of Medical Assistant
as part of our Virtual Career Fair. This dynamic role is pivotal in
facilitating patient care and bolstering health outcomes. Located
in Southwest Florida, Lee Health operates a network of hospitals
and clinics that are testament to our commitment to comprehensive
and accessible healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will be an
integral member of our health care team, responsible for supporting
patient care under the direction of medical staff. This position
requires a blend of medical knowledge, organizational skills, and
compassion. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients
under the direction of a physician. Interview patients, measure
vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight,
and height), and record information on patients' charts. Prepare
treatment rooms for patient examinations. Clean and sterilize
instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies. Prepare and
administer medications as directed by a physician. Arrange and
handle laboratory samples and procedures. Schedule appointments,
maintain medical records, and assist with billing processes. Strong
organizational and communication skills Ability to handle multiple
tasks simultaneously Proficiency in electronic medical records
(EMR) Compassionate and patient-focused approach Basic
understanding of medical terminology and procedures Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of
Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
