Experience with high-risk diagnoses, including heart failure, COPD,
myocardial infarction, pneumonia, and stroke - Experience with
post-operative care Description: The role involves providing
skilled home care visits. Home visits are typically 6-8 per day.
Expected duties include cardiopulmonary assessments and basic wound
care. The nurse will perform ABI compression dressing, wound vac
dressing, and Pleurx/Aseptdrain care. Other responsibilities
include foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, and the use
of glucometers and pro-time machines. The nurse will conduct
venipunctures, initiate and maintain IVs, and provide PICC line or
midline care and dressing changes. Intramuscular and subcutaneous
injections will also be performed, along with laboratory draws. The
successful candidate must possess recent patient care experience
within the last three months. Skills needed include managing blood
glucose levels, wound care, and necessary IV competencies.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and access to a car
for home visits. COVID vaccination is required unless an exemption
form is provided. A flu shot or declination is also required, with
mandatory mask-wearing while working. Overall, candidates must be
comfortable with self-scheduling and meeting the needs of the home
