Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing vital support to occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans aimed at improving patients' functional abilities. As a part of our dynamic team, you will work across both facility-based and home-based settings, adapting to the needs of a diverse patient population. Assist occupational therapists in the administration of interventions and treatment plans Document patient progress and report back to the supervising therapist Help patients develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities Educate patients and families on post-treatment home exercises and self-care techniques Prepare workspaces and equipment before treatment sessions Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations Participate in ongoing education to improve patient care methodologies and advance personal knowledge in the field Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records Knowledge of therapy equipment and proper handling techniques Capability to perform tasks requiring physical endurance and dexterity Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certifying Occupational Therapy Valid state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
